Lost, Prison Break and Heroes are the most popular TV Shows. Watch them at the cost of getting addicted.
Let’s cut the crap now. To make the proceedings interesting here, I write no review about the shows and I’ll list the best seasons to watch out for.

…and on the whole I would rate:

For those not in the know, which should include pretty much every one of you, I’m Aayush Arya, a nineteen year old student and a freelance author by semi-profession. I currently write for Macworld and Apple Matters and for my own blog, Penned Thoughts. Ashwin and I were acquainted on the Digit forum and have since become good friends, due in no small part to his switching to Macs. On his request, this is my humble contribution to his ongoing series of TV show recommendations.
Now that the customary introductions have been shown the door, let us get on with the juicy recommendations, shall we? All the three shows I’m going to mention here today are from the wonderful genre of comedy. Unlike most other guys, I’m not really interested in action flicks with guns and blood and gore.
I’d much rather plonk myself down on the couch, grab my Apple Remote, hit Front Row and enjoy an hour of mirthful laughter, uninhibited by people jumping off the back of trucks and gunning down anything that comes in their path (though I did enjoy Live Free or Die Hard, but even that was more due to Justin Long’s witty quips than all the outrageous action sequences).

Many of our regular readers might know that I’m a big movie buff. Now after seeing a lot of the movies, thought it would be cool to catch up with some TV shows.
I’ll talk about two shows: Man Vs Wild and Friends. Man vs Wild is currently airing on Discovery Channel. Friends was over by 2004. Anyways, you can hit the BitTorrent Networks to get them.

Seriously who would have the balls or pussies to do what Steve Irvin did? Leave alone the wildlife and things. Will you make a road less travel and take a path that you might have always wanted but never pursued as it’s ‘unconventional’?
Superman is a man of steel and hero to many of us. Steve Irwin has balls of steel and is a hero to many of us. Only that Superman is a ‘fiction’ and Steve is ‘fact’. It’s unfortunate that he had to die after a stingray’s barb pierced his heart.
I loved his shows “Crocodile Hunter” which was Aired in Discovery Channel (and later on in Animal Planet). In fact, to be honest, I started to like crocodiles only after I saw his shows. I like the way people catch crocs, it got it’s own style. Even now I like watching people taming crocs!
Steve’s Death shakes the Internet
Online and off, Steve’s death has attracted a lot of attention. Obviously his aura and passion caught us deep. “steve irwin” and “stingray” were the terms that shot up 100% for the words that were searched. Many sites like Crocodile Hunter official site and Australian Broadcasting’s site ABC had to shut following the unprecedented traffic. More details here: Steve Irwin the crocodile hunter death rocks the Internet!
Likewise in the world of P2P, you get to download tributes and other diaries (documentaries) which bring us the good old memories of our beloved Steve. Here are the files that you could snatch from various torrent trackers and via P2P:
Tribute to Crocodile Hunter:-
Steve Irwin A Tribute PDTV-WPi

and Memories of Crocodile Hunter:-

The.Crocodile.Hunter.Diaries.Sore.Like.An.Eagle.PDTV.XviD-hV
The.Crocodile.Hunter.Diaries.Wildlife.Inferno.PDTV.XviD-hV
I watched the first tribute show (scene group - WPi) and I got emotional towards the end and cried. The tribute includes the best footage of Steve with reptiles, and wildlife. It also includes clippings from his movie Crocodile Hunter. As additional bonus, you get to drool over a news reporter Monique Wright who is stunning and is a cute blond hottie.
The documentaries showcase some of Steve’s worst days at the zoo, including the time when the rock wallabies escaped from their enclosure, when a mystery virus struck the kangaroos, or when the cassowaries fought each other. Also we get to see miracle surgery performed on a wild wedge-tailed eagle that has been hit by a car and files when Doc and Helen travel to a remote outback town on a mercy flight to save an orphaned red kangaroo.
It’s an irony that he died by Stingray’s attack which is normally not an aggressive creature and he has in fact done more daredevil acts.
Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter - May you rest in peace and god bless your family.
In memory of Stephen Robert Irwin, 22 February 1962 – 4 September 2006
August 22nd, 2006 — TV Shows

My favourite TV show Prison Break is back! For Good!! I was waiting for this for a long time. The wait almost killed me!
The episode was out in the P2P networks at around 1:15 PM (GMT) barely after it was premiered! It’s amusing to hear that people (West Coast area, USA) download the show as it’s yet to aired in TV and besides who wants to watch with ads! It would take ages for the show to be aired in India. Even it’s aired (eventually) I won’t able to watch the show because of the CAS in Chennai. But now, who cares?
The First Episode
I just watched the episode and writing this post. Man, what a episode to kick start the season! Most of the important characters come in this episode and carry their part to a next level. Even the Origami makes a appearance!
The episode was perfect and it’s time for me to crave for more. But there was some plot hole (some rather big) but nevertheless a good spend 40 minutes for me today.
I recommend Prison Break to all those who love thrillers and gripping drama. Once you start watching some good three-four episodes, you’ll crave for more! Check out the Prison Break Season 1 DVD if you’re interested.
Let me know if you guys also enjoyed this episode and how you felt.
May 20th, 2006 — TV Shows

I like Prison break and escape plots very much. In fact I have written a post long about such movies also. Here it is : Top 6 Prison Break/Escape Movies. I am gonna add more movies and will soon post a sequel to that list.
So some readers recommended it in that post and I asked my friend to download the series. At that point of time, only 13 episodes had been aired and watched them all. I liked it very much. Got hooked to it. In my opinion, Prison Break is the best thing that has ever happened to TV shows.
Here is the plot: This drama focuses on a structural engineer who gets himself thrown into prison to help his falsely accused brother escape death row. Described as in the vein of The Great Escape , the series will unfold over 22 episodes, charting the course of a single break. Pretty interesting if you ask me.
Prison Break Vs Lost
Many of us compare Prison Break with Lost. I have also seen lost upto 5th episode in the season 2. Lost is also good, but I liked Prison break more than lost. Lost has these irritating flashbacks and most of them were unwarranted and could be done away with. I think they should have cut down atleast 55-60% of the flashbacks. The main plot and activity at the island loses sheen. Flashbacks are speed-breakers to the main plot. Maybe Lost might get better as I see more episodes in the ongoing season 2.
In Prison Break, we had flashbacks but all of the lot were in the same epic, so the main plot at the Fox River was interesting and absorbing. There are no pretty and hot girls lurking in Prison break unlike Lost. So as far as I am concered Prison Break rulez.
I have the complete 22 episodes in 2 DVDs and will watch them over again sometime in the future again. I downloaded the episodes from various Private torrent tracker sites.
Now eagerly waiting for the Season two of Prison Break which is named Manhunt slated for release this Fall Summer 2006 sometime in September.
