Do you remember when you downloaded these x264/HD torrent file baited by the wonderful cinematic experience?

After sweating your Internet line, you try (in vain) opening the files.
HD movies are basically high definition, high resolution format which looks gorgeous. You can detect wheat and chaff from the file size. I’ve seen some 1080p torrents which are more than 35 GB in size. Most the 720p x264 will come ~4.4 GB.
This goodness after extraction will be in .mkv (or .mp4) format. How do you play this .mkv file? VLC player will play it but sometimes you won’t get sound and only video. Plus the clarity is also not good.

The latest casuality of etisalat (ISP in UAE) is Orkut. Finally it’s blocked. How can you access Orkut in UAE or anywhere it’s blocked?
Sometime back, I posted an article How to Access Blocked Sites in UAE where one of our reader Ankur suggested to use VPN connection to access blocked sites.
I tried one of the methods where we establish a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to bypass ant ban and access blocked sites without any issues. The good part is it’s free, you’ll access the sites in the normally in our browsers.

China along with some Gulf Countries (including UAE) block sites which they feel might be inappropriate. Some offices and educational Institutes even block sites.
Here’s a new way to bypass the ban. This trick WILL work for sure.

Opera mini is the new mobile browser for your mobile phones. Now they offer a new beta version, wherein we can try out how good the browser. This also is the place where we’ll play smart and open blocked sites.

Do you know that etisalat (Telecom Provider here) pays a company called Secure computing Dhs 9.5 million ($2.6 million) to block sites every year?
Almost none of the proxy browsing site works. The sites which claims softwares for proxy browsing are also blocked. Nor does some tricks like changes the URL to IP.
Yet to can take damage control measures.
