You won’t believe this.
For the first time, you’ll be coming across a negative review.
Got to catch up with the movie today with some effort to secure the tickets and I’m not impressed.

Reviewing movies is an Art.
Like any other Art, it’s unique.
No two person review movies in the same way. That brings us to focus the different ways to review movies.
We’ll go ahead and see the ways we can reviews movies. Since rating a movie is a way of review, I’m presenting both review and ratings now.
Meetu who blogs without giving the movie away (found via Desicritics) reviews movies and sums up in an interesting way.
See her Jab We Met review:
Rating: Wait for video release
Rating Scale (best to worst):
• Must see - on the big screen
• Watch for sure, preferably in theatre
• Wait for video release
• Watch if you have nothing better to do
• Switch channels if it’s on cable!
Isn’t that interesting?
without giving the movie away is nominated in Best Asian Blog in the 2007 Weblogs Awards. Good Luck, Meetu.

A quick post for our readers in the UAE.

As the part of two week annual Disney Movie Magic Festival, from August 2nd till August 15th, each day there’ll be screenings of Disney movies. They include Animated (Pixar movies), Cartoon (The Lion King) and full length (The Chronicles of Narnia) movies.
Grand Cinemas across UAE in Dubai (Ibn Battuta Mall, Mercato Mall & Al Ghurair City), Sharjah (Sahara Centre), Abu Dhabi (Abu Dhabi Mall) and Al Ain (Grand Rotana) will be screening select Disney movies at Dh12 per viewing (normally Dhs 30), including free pop corn and goodies. For more info on the timing and schedule:- Gulf News: Movie Magic.
Plus Mercato and Disney are planning a host of activities for children as part of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) that include; Disney’s Parlor, Pirates of Caribbean Zone, Cars Tour, Picture Corner, Disney Story Telling, Sing along, and more. The activities will start from 4 pm to 10 pm and are all free of charge.
Perfect opportunity to check out great movies in silver screen. I’m planning to see Finding Nemo, Monsters, Inc., Cars and The Chronicles of Narnia. ![]()

Why not celebrate Friendship Day in an unique way?
Gift your friend(s) DVDs of movies which portray friendship. This would be both useful as well as bond your relationship. All all what to do with greeting cards, email, etc? Something special like flowers, DVDs would make your job easier as how much you value your friends.
Keeping the tradition of The Newspaper Blog - where we celebrate special occasions by watching movies.
Earlier we had one for Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Indian Republic Day (Inspirational Hindi Movies) and now for Friendship Day.

When Harry was in detention with Umbridge some guy in theater yelled, “AVADA KEDAVRA!” - A comment at IMDb
I enjoyed the movie very much. One thing I observed is in any Harry Potter movie I saw (Either in Chennai or Dubai) the audience were interactive. The one liners, cheeky comments and real time views takes movie watching to another level. It was fun and good time in the theater.

Irrespective of what others feel, I think Animation (NOT Cartoon) movies are for all kids from 6 to 60 to enjoy.
Do you know there are at least 6 animation movies in the IMDb Top 250 movies of all time?
Scott Adams of The Dilbert Blog asked a creative question. What creatures are left for the next animation movies?
The Godfather and The Shawshank Redemption of the animation movie studio are Disney - Pixar and DreamWorks Animation SKG. But we have a problem. They ran out of creatures!
Let’s see the list of the creatures out of which we have blockbusters…
Toys - Toy Story 1 & 2, Robot (maybe)
Insects - A Bug’s Life, Antz (featured here)
Fishes - Finding Nemo, Shark Tale
Super Heroes - The Incredibles
Cars - Cars
Monsters - Monsters, Inc. , Shrek Trilogy
Birds - Happy Feet, Chicken Run, Chicken Little
Animals (of all kind) - Madagascar, Over the Hedge, The Wild, Wallace and Gromit
Pests - Ratatouille, Flushed Away, Stuart Little (if you can count this too)
