Many of our regular readers might know that I’m a big movie buff. Now after seeing a lot of the movies, thought it would be cool to catch up with some TV shows.
I’ll talk about two shows: Man Vs Wild and Friends. Man vs Wild is currently airing on Discovery Channel. Friends was over by 2004. Anyways, you can hit the BitTorrent Networks to get them.
Man Vs Wild
Genre: Adventure
I like survival shows and with a little adventure, I’m sold. Bear Grylls mission is to survive an inhospitable place and be rescued. He survives the cold mountains (Iceland, Patagonia, etc), Desert (Kenya), Jungles (Ecuador, Panama, etc), Islands (Off Pacific Ocean) and other ‘dangerous places on Earth’ with the most spectacular view. Sounds good, right?
The Modern Moogly
Bear Grylls eats almost anything, can climb trees, professional parachuter, expert mountaineer, swims, builds shelter etc.. but still this is one of the reasons why this show is popular and I like his show.
Can you imagine this man drinking his urine, sipping water from seeping rocks or drinking off the fluid from elephant dung? Sure he was in the Army, but his skills amazes me. He catches fishes, hunts animals for food and survives in the most inhospitable terrains on earth.

Friends
Genre: Comedy/Romance
Friends might not need any explanation, it was the popular sitcom and ran for 10 years. Jennifer Anniston and the other cast members shot to fame, thanks to this show. Don’t look for any story, it hardly has anything friendship related situations as well. Still I loved every epic (episode) and sometimes I laughed out loud and my Dubai room mates were taken for surprise (I used to watch with headphones on).

Each of the six characters are unique. If you’re into Friends, you’ll remember the cast by their character not their names. My favourite are Chandler (till season 6), Joey (season 7-10) and the Phoebe.
There’re a lot of guest appreances from Bruce Willis , Brad Pitt, Billy Crystal, Reese Witherspoon, Christina Applegate, Julia Roberts, Dakota Fanning, George Clooney, Ian Thorpe etc… I was sad that the show is got over. I’ll watch all over again after some time.
Not all the 10 seasons are consistent. Season 1-5 and Season 7 are really good. Others are not as good as the listed ones. Try to take a break every 3 seasons to appreciate. I know it’s easier said than done, but you’ll like the show even more.
Amazing series to relieve your stress. Enjoy with your GF/BF or spouse.

I simply love FRIENDS too! I do agree that a break is needed when watching it.. The break I take is when I download the next season!
