You’ve a torrent running (with active transfers) and then you click this “Force Start”.
Nothing happens.
So what is the option for?
Force Start overrides your settings (if the torrent is in Queue) and force the torrent to transfer.
Explaining Force Start in Torrent Clients
See the screenshots of options in uTorrent and Azureus.

uTorrent

Azureus
The two options are maximum active downloads+uploads and active downloads. When you have 8 & 5 (as in my uTorrent Settings), then if you add more than 5 torrent files for download (or more than 8 active transfers), it will queue.
When you want to immediately download the file, click on the ‘Force Start’ which will ignore your settings and will start to download.
If you don’t want to bother with queuing, enter 0 in fields as I did for Azureus options.
So Force Start has nothing to do with forcing your torrent to connect to peers or fasten your speeds. ![]()
