Feature rich and customizable with Plugins, Azureus was popular until Vuze came.

When a 125 KB odd feature rich client giving serious competition, it was a stage perfect for the decline.
If you aren’t using uTorrent for whatever reason (like incompatibility with OS X & Linux, long time Azureus user or want more features), you can still enjoy Azureus for your downloading pleasure. 
How? Use the older version 2.5.04, the final stable version of Azureus 2.x

Why you should use version 2.5.0.4 over 3.0.3.4
1. Takes less memory
Being a Java Client, the resource requirements are going to high. I ran both 2.x & 3.x versions and observed that Vuze takes more memory and is a resource hogger.
Take a look at the Activity Monitor: (after running for 10 minutes, not minimized with 3 torrents running)
Version 2.5.0.4
Version 3.3.0.4
After running for over 30 hours, 2.x took some 95 MB RAM. It’s advisable that you restart Azureus every 2 days.
2. Vuze 3.x banned in most Private Torrent Trackers
Most of the Private Torrent Sites have banned other versions and you’re encouraged to use version 2.5.0.4 or look beyond Azureus.
3. God save us from Porn
When you get started with Vuze, you get recommendations. 90% of the time, it’ll be ‘Mature’ stuffs.
You might after all be downloading a Linux Distro and imagine if anyone happen to see it and think you’re involved with porn!
4. An irony
The Vuze agreement, presented upon installation, is incompatible with the GPL under which the software was written!
Disable Azureus from Updating
Download 2.5.0.4 and goto Tools -> Options -> Interface -> Start (OS X: Azureus -> Preferences -> Interface -> Start) and cut the crap out. Check the screenshot to see how my settings goes like:
I’ve checked for issues in version 2.x with respect to 3.x on bugs, speed and resources. In all these respect there was no problem.
All this is fine, but how’s Vuze? It’s worst than Tribler, atleast the latter was not a bloatware.

I buy rapidhshare 3 months pack and it seems very worthful to me.
Daily I download about 3-4 movies and a lot of warezz and games. Just donwloaded NFS ProStreet.
I dont thinks any free torrent can give me that much speed.
Why not u buy one rapidshare account.

What you mean by “free torent”? All torrents are free. If you know where to download and use some practices then maxing out your connection should not be an issue.
By the way, how much we need to pay for RapidShare? Also if you aren’t comfortable with torrents, then there are some services which give alternate URL for Rapidshare Premium for free.

I prefer because i can download even on my BSNL connection 3-4 movies a day which is around 2GB per day

Gary, you’re a OSS user if I’m correct. What about reason 4? Also from where you download? Most private trackers have banned the use of Vuze.

I have used P2P tools a lot and if you are looking for some rare or old movies then u have to wait a lot and search a lot too…
e.g search for movies like jism,accepted,the kingdom, 3:10 to yuma,serendipity etc… DVD Rip or HQ

But then if you get good speeds and happy with your current setup, then don’t bother abt others.
