Wordpress was built with a ‘feature’ with the rel=”nofollow” thing to prevent comment spam. Logically it made sense that we don’t want to appreciate spammer with our link love. But as we know, it didn’t help. Akismet is saving the blogs. 
I’m happy to announce that I’ve installed this Dofollow plugin installed and activated.
In fact I had installed this plugin activated some 2 months back. Posting about it just now so that you know the changes and the happenings at this blog. Whenever you comment in this blog, then you get a permanent link to your blog which in turn helps your rankings on various systems, like Google (search engines), Technorati etc.
When you just say ‘Hi’, you get the link love. No bull shit like:
- pay $10 to get no follow tag removed
- post (read spam) 6-9 comments to get the tag removed
Whenever you comment, The Newspaper Blog will follow or at least Google will.
