Yeah! I can hear leechers shouting the new utorrent versions sucks.
All the fuss because they can’t cheat Private Torrent Trackers! 
I didn’t read this anywhere or didn’t notice in the list of changes. Just I tried out the new version of the utorrent client and noticed that the new beta is bad for leechers. 
The following information is not good for you to use and try it out. That’s why I waited so long time for utorrent guys to fix it. If you have a slow broadband connection, then you should Public Trackers or other sources (like direct http links or usenet) only.
How to fool Private Torrent Trackers and avoid maintaining ratio
In the version of utorrent before 1.7 beta, it was quite easy to fool private trackers. You don’t need to maintain ratio and download unlimited quantity of data without having to upload. This was a way to avoid the hassles of maintaining ratios at Private Trackers.
Here’s the step by step procedure to fool private trackers:
1. When you add a torrent file in utorrent, it will connect to tracker and after authentication, you’re connected to peers (seeders and leechers).
2. If you double click the added file, then you get the window for changing the Torrent Properties.
3. The Trackers URL box is editable. That is, you can add your own junk in that box. Save the changes. See the screenshot below:
4. Now even though, utorrent might claim torrent’s tracker status as ‘invalid’ and the color of the small icon will turn red, you still have the peers which you have been connected previously before we edited the tracker URL.
5. Having connected to enough peers (which might depend on your connection speed), you leech the file without the worry of uploading back and maintaining ratio.
How new version of utorrent discourages leechers
Now in the utorrent 1.7 Beta, when you edit the tracker URL (it’s still editable) and if it’s invalid, then the peers you had connected to goes to zero. So you can’t remove the URL and try to fool the tracker. See the screenshot and note the download/upload speeds:
One other interesting thing that I noticed was, even though the peers get reseted to zero, after some time you’re connected to some amount peers. Now the peers are very compared to what we might need for optimum speed but you might be lucky if the torrent file is very popular and in the first place has a lot of peers connected.
How to block Leechers in utorrent
utorrent doesn’t have the feature to block/delete peer’s IP that you want to delete as that person seem to download more but not upload. The other bit torrent client I used, BitTornado also didn’t have that feature. We need to use a external program such as the PeerGuardian to block the IPs.
This feature is very important as we can block people who just want to leech. Then there won’t be any question of cheating private trackers. Plus in the first place only, the tracker URL should not editable at any cost.

if we show child ice cream & say , this is for show only not to eat ,wht will follow , of course , child gonna eat that , so ,even if there are peeps who know this already but there are many who are now going to know by reading this tutorial (how to cheat), sigh .

Also did you know this cheat tut before? Just curious to know how many people already knew this before they saw this hear.

yea, I knew this before, trial & error makes pirate perfact,lol.
oh ,btw there are hacked versions of even new 1.7 beta with respective build ,for capped connections.

wow!! I almost missed this article.Now who would upgrade the utorrent to 1.7 ? Cant we continue with the old one and use this feature to keep a good ratio? Any problem with that ? I wont cheat, just use this to download and then change the tracker URL back to the original and seed.. :-).

What you want to is also unethical. You should not change the URL at any point of time. If you don’t have a good connection, you can d/l from public trackers and not private ones.
About the coffee, I guess I’m invited all over the world and India. Looks cool, wherever I might travel, there should not be any problem.

Now what is this passkey does. Also.. in some sites they are warning ” anti cheater installed”. Any idea what is it. Just for educational purpose.

Maybe I’ll write about passkey in a new post or bear with me, I’ll tell about it in detail here.
Passkey means the 16 bit encryption thing when you download a torrent file. It can be viewed in torrent client. Previous versions of torrent clients allowed to edit it, but newer don’t. Good to have such things in place.
About the Anti Cheater thing, I really don’t know what it means. But I know that earlier there was a bug in private trackers where we can cheat the trackers. Maybe that’s not possible now.
I’ve been using this method for 2+ years now and you’re the first person I’ve heard talking about it. Works with every private trackers i’ve used.
OK, this version SUCKS!!! I AM NOT A LEECHER! All i do is put ul to 1kb/s and dl at 50kb/s when i dl few torrents, i turn them all up and seed for a week [EVEN WITH ME HAVING SLOW CONNECTION 9kb/s for ul] So my ratio will be 0.85-1.1[Nobody is perfect] Now with this uTorrent i can dl 2 torrents at 25kb/s and ul 2kb/s if i put it up to 4kb/s my dl goes 10kb/s SO THIS IS NOT GOOD!!! That’s why i firs dl and then ul. I know there is a lot of leechers and very little people like me. So i’m not blaming them, but seriously i am after 5000hrs+ and 500GB dl 450GB ul change BitTorrent client. I know this is a little of data for that amount of hrs but mybandwitch is little. So I will no longer be using uTorrent.
Meh, I always seed a 1:1 ratio, public or private.
