Where to look for Books?

I’m a book worm and these days I’m reading a book a week. Of course I don’t read all the books holding in my hand. I read online or read e-books.

You have a lot of books which are available free and even free to distribute under the Creative Common license.

Friedbeef put up a list of the Top 10 places to get free books. The top 3 are :

1. The Gutenberg Project Top 100 List
Maybe the ultimate resource site to get free books.

2. BookMooch
Get hold of used and read book. BookMooch is a community for exchanging used books.

3. ebookspyder
Get technical, computer books here.

Online Book sharing - A YouTube like site

YouTube is very popular and most visited site for videos. People like it because it’s a one stop resource for people to share vidoes. Even we get to see copyright ones as well. Now Scribd is a YouTube like site for people to share their books. Soon it has became a pirates haven. So much books you get for free that you might not mind paying for!

I read this Harvard Graduation Speech by Conan O’Brien, it was an amazing stuff! Plus this is a great site for me to pass time in office, when I read books/docs online but others think I’m busy doing research shit.

The The Gutenberg Project is very good.
the also send you a DVD & a CD free of cost.
i got one a few months back but since i have read only 2 of its thousand titles.:(

I hate online or so much hyped e-books are pain to your eyes. still paper back rock as they are easy to read & cheap as compared to full hard cover editions.

Yeah ebooks are hyped. But they’re freebie. :)

In case I want to read any ebook, I break them in parts and then read. Not more than 20-30 pages in one go.

Great to know that you’re in the UAE. I’m doing this thing just because I like and want to help other people. I don’t think I might need help. Thanks. :)
