Dubai Desert Safari

Yours truly hit the deserts for the first time after being in the UAE for half a year.

Desert safari is one of the popular things to do in Dubai. After all, there’s no scarcity of deserts in here. Desert Safari is a ‘thing’ where we do adventurous driving in the desert sand in one of those 4X4 drives. People alos take it to beaches, rocky mountain terrains and deserts. I love 4×4 drive cars. I want one of those Range Rover, BMW X5 or better still the Hummer H3.

Nothing much to write about…. this post is a picture essay. Only there’s not much of essay!

Dramatic to see other cars:

Even though it’s fun and good ride in the Landcruisers, it’s even more dramatic to watch other cars maneuvering in the desert sands. We tried to take some snaps but it’s was difficult as the vehicle was moving in a considerable speed, bumpy plus were wearing the seat belts.

One word for the drivers of the 4X4. It’s amazing to see how well they can tackle the sands and drive in the deserts. In fact we need a desert driving license to drive in UAE deserts.

Desert Break

After some 20 minutes of desert driving, we took a break. This was a fun 15 minutes where we took snaps, pissed, enjoyed the breathtaking driving and other cars cruising in the sands.

At the camp:

After some 45 minutes desert 4X4 drive, we were taken to a camp where some 30-40 other parties also joined. There was a lot of activities in there including Sand Bike riding, Camel ride, Snap with the local dress, Henna hand coloring, Sheesha, along with Beverages, Beer, Shawarma and Buffet Lunch. And the most awaited event.. the Belly Dance!

Here’s some photos capturing the moments…

In the End:

Then at around 9 PM, we shut shop and returned to Dubai. What can I say? Well, a Dhs 110 well spent. We are planning to revisit the moments at desert safari again that time may be at Hatta (Oman - UAE Border) Desert.

Here’s one photo that I took in the car en route to Dubai, life at 130 Kmph:

Next Saturday (or sometime in near future), we’re planning to hit Fujairah (1 hour 45 minutes drive from Dubai) and Khor Fakkan. That place is stunning and weekend getaway with variety of activity like Water Ski, Snorkeling, Banana Boar ride, Glass bottom boat ride, windsurfing or just acquitted with the local marine life. All this under breathtaking mountainous scenery. More on that when I’m there, done that.

on Bwt , BTS member “Ala” has posted some snaps from Dubai in Image section ,check them out.

Sheikh Al Ashwin is very modest. He doesn’t like to show off. Anyway he’s gold by heart. :)

I saw the BwT Dubai holiday snaps. It was good. I have loads of photos in my lappy which we took in UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, etc..) Those were taken in N 70 not in digi cams. I will post some of them in future for sure.

What’s the cost of the desert safari back there in Rajastan?

Glad you guys liked the snaps.

Not only there.. I enjoy my life all the time. :)

Regarding the lifting, it’s inspired from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, where SRK lifts Kajol. :D In fact we both have almost the same height, maybe I’m little taller than him.

SRK lifting Kajol is ok… but here….er… :|

er..leave it.. It seems I m thinking too much and having too much doubts!! :D
