I’m a big Formula One fan and from the day I started watching Formula One I never liked Micheal Schumacher. Now he’s going to retire after this 2006 season which he announced after the Italian GP. 
Just winning races does not make u great. He might be good, and I don’t care. He’s a cheat and dishonest driver to the core. Michael unlike Mika or Senna does not drive for the fun of it. He’s hell bent to win GPs at any cost.
Damon Hill beat him, Jacques Villeneuve beat him,Mikka Hakkinen beat him, Fernando Alonso beat him, loser only ever won titles when he had the best car than the other cars. Austrian GP 2002 - Shameless Creature
Michael “orders” Barrichello to leave way for him towards the end of the GP. He also gave the winner’s trophy to him. Moreover if I can remember well, David Coulthard was second in the championship title race - not by a slender margin, yet the shameless creature made Barrichello pull in the final lap. Plus he wanted his 7 GP wins in a row intact and before that he has never won at Hungary. Poor Rubens, he was leading from the start of the race.
Monaco GP Qualifying 2006 - A Cheater
During the final lap of qualifying at Monaco, M Schumacher came to a stop (he said his car was stalled) at the La Rascasse hairpin, resulting in a yellow flags, so that the other drivers can drive in full speed. The stewards made his time void and Alonso was declared P1. How can there be an error when one drives a F1 car at 16 Kmph?

Those were only some of the instances. Remember the Adelaide 1994 crash with Hill when MS has hit the wall and his suspension was damaged and by all probability wouldn’t have continued the race and Schumacher crashed into Hill on purpose. That was not all –he won his first championship having a illegal traction and launch control mechanism in his Benetton, European (Jerez) GP 1997 with Jacques Villeneuve and he was stripped of his points, usage of ‘illegal fuels’ Argentian 1998 with David Coulthard , Belgian GP 2000 with Mikka Hakkinen, European GP 2001 with Ralf Schumacher, Canadian GP 2001 where he almost scared the shit out of his brother when he forced him ‘kiss’ the wall , British GP 2003 with Alonso… now MONACO GRAND PRIX 2006 with Alonso…. so much instances to prove he’s a cheat. Still MS fans think all this is an one off incidence.

Everything for the past 10 years has fell into Schumacher’s way. Michael Schumacher has only had “ONE” Engine failiure (German GP 2001) in the last 6 years. And we all know Bridgestone’s loyalty towards Ferrari. Their bias towards Ferrari made McLaren switch towards Michelin.
Britain 1998, He was allowed to win a race by taking his stop go on the last lap. When Hakkinen had exhaust failure and his engine blow in the last lap in the Belgian GP (I forgot the year). Kimi Raikonnen’s bad season and not a reliable McLaren in 2004, etc…
I don’t say that michael schumacher is a bad driver. But he’s not a great driver. He’s a cheat for sure. He got a serious attitude problem and is arrogant. I think he is a great racer, great strategist with zero ethics and morals.
It’s really good riddance. Good to see a cheater and an dishonest driver to retire. He should have done that long time back. I hope that Alonso and Renault win the Drivers and Constructors championships respectively this year. He personally made sure that he had all the records in his name and retired.

I never attacked MS personally other than calling him cheap and dishonest.
Get your facts right. MS who won 5 times in a row with Ferrari when the car was way too good for other cars by miles. His car is looking good this season and IMO they got the best package. When he won with Benetton, then also he got the best car and he was caught using ‘illegal’ fuel also.
Let me be clear. I didn’t question his driving capabilities. He might be a good driver (I don’t care) but has zero ethics.
Ashwin, honestly tell me, how many of the GPs you’ve mentioned have you actually seen (on TV)?
As far as Australian GP in 2002 goes, it was a team order for Barrichelo to slow down and let Michael pass. That’s the reason why Michael handed over his trophy to Barrichello later on.
Anyways, it would be useless to debate further, I’d recommend downloading those videos and watching them yourself.
A lot of things go into winning a GP, such as
* good driver
* best car
* best pit stop strategy
* fuel strategy
* tyre change strategy
…and many more.
Is it Michael’s fault if other Constructors couldn’t get better drivers or better cars to outperform Ferrari for so many years?
Today, Alonso outperforms Michael and wins many races or Kimi wins then it’s because of their efforts. If Alonso keeps on winning more races and sets new records in the coming years would you subscribe the same to him some seven years from now saying that
Alonso - Renault = Zero
or
Kimi - McLaren = Zero.
Winning so many championships and breaking ALL records is no mean feat. You can’t get that far by cheating your way.
I saw a 8 min video of the Monaco GP qualifying this year, I saw the Austrian (not Australian). I saw the Jarez incident. Saw the Hill-MS collition (with commentary). Now if you argue that I actually didn’t see in the TV, then how many older GPs have you seen to tell that MS is “great”? Plis this SS commentary is a joke. Steve and Chris are a biased to the core and have Ferrari and MS thing all over their Larynx (Voice Box).
By the way, have you seen the years where Mika (or for the matter even JV) won? Have you seen Senna drive?
Fuck the team orders. His 7 times GP win was at stake, his championship point (it was 6 points for a seond place not 8 as of now at that time). DC and MS was fighting for the championship that year. Leave alone the GP trophy, he didn’t even go to the Laureus World Sports Awards fuction and collect the prize if I’m correct.

1. I don’t saw MS is bad. He is good.

Anyways, the matter about ‘fuck the team orders’…. every driver is supposed to comply with team orders. Everyone, yes EVERYONE knows that Ferrari ordered Barichello to pass just to let Michael win and get another hand at the Championship, but why should Michael alone get the flak for it?
I’m no Michael fanatic, but to see the world’s best Formula 1 driver be branded a ‘cheat’ isn’t exactly just.
Even, if I were to blindly agree with what you say, Michael has still won 90 times, the incidents that can be mentioned for cheating might be around 5 or 6 or maybe even 10, still he did win the remaining 80, yes EIGHTY times himself. 80/90 ain’t that bad either. No driver wins that many races by cheating his way through.
As far as personal liking for Michael Schumacher goes, I’d just say ‘to each his own’.
The Austrian GP of 2002 showed another aspect of Michael.
When Barichello slowed due to team orders and Michael won, had Michael been that big a cheat he would NOT have handed his trophy to Barichello. Michael knew as much as Barichello that he didn’t himself deserve the win. Had he been that big a ‘cheat’ or ‘dishonest’ as he’s been labelled after so many years, he wouldn’t have bothered and rather he would’ve celebrated his win.

Yea Alonso did, last season. But he had a Mechanical advantage. Don’t cry now that Schumi has had a mechanical advantage all these years, he might have, but he didn’t have that in 1998/1999. He showed Mika many times what he’s capable of. And remind you Michael’s stats are not that easy to achieve, so mind what you are saying. And yeah…action speak louder than words. And Michael’s records say all by themselves.
Thats it. Hope you are happy with his retirement. People like you are just baised. I’ve been a big fan of Raikkonen even though he has been in McLaren for some years, and I welcome him to Ferrari. You need to change your attitude man. Think before you speak.

Who needs a damn trophy? After all we know how RB would have felt. He drove a perfect race. He lead from the start to the end of the last lap. No driver would have tolerated that. JPM just quit Formula one - we don’t know the reason, but we know he din’t like being No. 2 in McLaren.
Now.. he has cheated. Cheating for 5 or 50 times won’t matter. Saw what happened to Hansie Cronje? After all we don’t know how much matches he fixed. He died in a air crash. Now most of them remember him for fixing matches and not the contribution he made to cricket. The same with M Azharuddin.

I don’t hate him. I never said that. Irking others once in a while is ok, but he crossed the line many times in so many instances.. even this year, you know what happened at Monaco. It was clearly his fault. After being in F 1 for so long can’t he control a car in 16 Kmph?
Doing on field stuffs is ok. Like what JPM, MS do, block the line of drive so that it becomes difficult for others to overtake him. But involving in deliberate accidents or asking his team mate to leave way is far from ethical. Here it’s not the question of ethics, it’s cheat and dishonesty.
Ferrari was a very good car. I don’t deny that and nobody will. But be fair and ask yourself if MS would have won so many races without Ferrari? His tires, Bridgestone was custom made for Ferrari. See Robert Kubica how’s he driving in his BMW Sauber and Feranado Alonso when he drove for Minardi in his debut season. Mika won his first World Championship in a car that was not the best. In all these 3 cases their cars weren’t the best. Still they made a mark and drove well. This thing lacks with MS.

Well let me tell you that probablity of a tire getting punctured are more if you drive slowly. Thats just one example but I can give you more examples about the errors at slow speed. And who knows the errors may have developed before that?

I must tell you I have a friend. He and his gang race a lot around thrice a month bypassing the police at a lonely area. He is an ace driver though he is 19 yrs only and he had many a times defeated others using Zen/Maruti only. While there are big cars in the gang like corsa,corrola etc but look at him making his way with such low cars. He owns a corrola himself and becomes almost unbeatable there when he drives in his corrola.

The authority did penalize him. After the Jarez incident, he was penalized the whole season’s championship point. At Monaco as you know he was penalized 2 seconds. The stewards only said how the hell can you err with a car running at 16 Kmph and that he had ample time to correct the mistake (if at all it was a mistake) he had done.
Regarding the Austrian and Canadian GPs it’s more of a moral and ethics issue. Stewards can’t do anything here.
I never supported any teams or drivers. Can you please point out some? I like Mclaren; Kimi and Alonso but this I never mentioned anywhere in the post or in the comments. So why do you talk abt the teams that are “crying babies, steriotypical losers”?
About your friend. See I like persons like him. Anybody for the matter will like. Is MS like him? He has the best car (let him have but admit that he wouldn’t have come this far without Ferrari), the best tyre (custom made for him), the team mate who do whatever MS or his team say, things have all gone his favour. The actual fact behind the matter is that in Monaco the stewards examined the telemetry from Schumacher’s car and found that he came into the rascasse corner at pretty much the same speed as the previous lap. The telemetry also revealed to them that the car was neither understeering, nore oversteering, and there where no mechanical faults with the car, yet heavily excessive breaking force was applied to the car making it stop in the fashion it did. The stuards saw this and took the only appropriate penalty which was to send him to the back of the grid.
Now, think to yourselves how many worldwide followers and fans Schumacher has, and then think what a terrible example that was to set them.
Then to cap it off he went and lied to the press, the drivers, and the teams despite it being patently obvious from his car’s onboard data that his move was quiet deliberate.
What Schumacher did in monaco was indefensible, and i am afraid you schumacher faboys need to wake up and see what your hero really is.

TYRES have become very much the controlling factor in Formula 1 over the last couple of years. At some tracks MICHELIN were unstoppable in the other conditions, and it showed. Schumi was well ahead of any other Bridgestone runner in virtually every race once the weekend really got serious. His team mate was given the exact same hardware every season he raced and he continually outpaced them, sometimes by miles.
This Monaco instance looks suspicious, its very hard to tell from a video. Even the telemetry is limited and only Schumi really knows what happened, and it happened in a billionth of a second as he was at work. People need to lay off the guy a bit, in reality of driving one of these cars it was a tiny mistake
Ashwin,i have been a fan of F1 for 30years,and i think your comments on schumacher are rather disturbing.You have got a lot of facts wrong?,the biggest being;Mikka Hakkanan won his first world championship in by far the best F1 car that year!.His McClaran was two seconds faster from the first winter test that year,to the first race.Farrari and your friend mr Schumacher’famousley’(in the inferior Farrari)took Mikka and McClaren down to the last race of the season.
The Benetton’s that Micheal drove were also inferior to the Williams cars he was up against;he won the races by doing three stop pit-stops and banzai laps,(only Schumacher could go there).To save me going on and on correcting your presumptuous statements,read a book called ‘Micheal Schumacher-the whole story by Christopher Hilton.The book is well written and non biast.Mayby you could learn a lesson from this,it might calm you down a bit my friend.
I have read other posts on your sight and i get the impression you are a intelligent nice person.However if i was to go by this Schumacher bash of a post i would get a more negative impression of you.Now then can you do the same with Schumacher?.

Hello mate,not a very nice artical.Have a look at my little ode to the greatest (Micheal Schumacher).The only time any other drivers clinched the world title in his F1 era was when Micheal had first joined a team,or he was in a developing car. For example:Hill won when Micheal first joined the struggling Farrari team in 1996;the same can be said for Jacques Villeneuve and Mika Hakkinen;they were lucky!.
The late great Ayrton Senna took Allen Prost out on the first corner to win a title;drivers are far more on the limit these days and if they crash or crowd another driver the chances are that the driver will survive a crash.In the old days when the angel of death stood at every corner,and the cars were more dangerous the drivers had more respect out on the track.All drivers are good people out of the car,including Schumacher;you have not heard enough positive storys about Schuy,but your post is controversial;just like Schumacher…eh Ashwin?.
Micheal Schumacher is THE greatest F1 Driver in the world and i am not just saying that because he’s my hero, i am saying it because it’s true and you can not accept it.
all my freinds like Alonso and your boyfriend Senna but they no nouthing about f1 and it’s history unlike me; micheal can also stay on the track unlike your boy friend.
I realise that Shumacher has so called “cheated” in the past but he has never said that he cheats and he is the only person who is going to know what really happend.
