I am totally frustrated with the Internet connection I have. My ISP BSNL dataone allows users to transfer unlimited for only 6 hours a day.
But I have lot to download! Check this screenshot. It’s just the part of the folder that I took the screenshot.
And this shows the complete picture. A total of 135 torrents waiting to get started!
Lol.. it will take more than 6 months to complete the downloads!!

This is not all! I ask my friends to download as well. I only leech 1/2 CD stuffs only. 3 CD or any higher file size will be done by my friends. I asked my friend to do Lost season 1, which was almost 9gb, which would have taken 3 weeks to leech with my stupid connection.
Who told that you wont have anything to download after a few months with a “broadband” internet connection?

6 hrs a day shud be enuf… i leech around 650 mb in 8 hrs….
6 hrs should be enough in case I have a 24mbps connection

Well, I’ve got a BSNL connection too, and being a rabid movie fan myself(not as rabid as you, though), I agree that those measly six hours can be very frustrating.
Yeah, atleast they have provided with 7 hours so that we can leech a CD within a day without having to wait for 2am the next day and save the mental stress in case there is not enough peers for the torrent.
I can comfortably download one CD in a day as I get 45 Kbps+ always during my free hours.
I forgot to mention this, but are you aware of the relatively new rmvb format? A movie in that format is half the size of a normal divx/xvid movie, and there’s isn’t much of a difference in quality. Also, most of the recent dvdrips/screeners are available in rmvb, so it really saves time.

I don’t like .rm/ram/.rmvb files, dunno why. I dont even have Real player/alternative installed in my PC

Hmm.. VIT has already started giving out forms. It will be available till the end of feb (or march, dunno properly). Available via post (from VIT) or post offices in Chennai.
I have no idea about CET karnataka. Anyways how will I know, after all I have my butt firmly placed in Chennai

I transfer more than 20gb in a month.
525-575mb in 6hr/day.
So around 15-15.5gb d/l in a month. Add 1gb that we get. So 16.5gb + uploads = Around 20gb in a month

I deleted about 50 torrents that are in queue for a long time, for the reason that there are no peers/seeders now. Damn BSNL. Why don’t they make atleast Sundays and PH free ?
BTW Me averages 20-25 GB PM.
In the 150+ torrents that are waiting to get downloaded, I dont even know as to how much is dead. Me too periodically delete the torrents for want of peers.
I am not asking that much (as PH/Sundays free) but only 7hrs/day btw 1-8am.

Kash mere paas 10mbps line hoti ..but then that also may still be not enough.. I would find more torrents.
During the dial-up speen was pathetic, in GPRS is was slow but good for surfing around 8-13 kB/s, & now in MTNL 256kbps Night Plan also life running slow at 28kB/s
I have put Vista Beta(5342) on download after 2 days only 21.6% completed.
Ateast will take 4 more days to complete.
I think its more than just human nature of getting what they dont have.
So many movies still on que to download!!

Yeah man.. I’am waiting for that unlimited plan or atleast increase in the (un)happy hours time.
